Matt Hester is 20+ year veteran of the stage and a graduate of the University of Evansville with a B.F.A. in acting. He resides in Danville, IL with his ridiculously gorgeous wife, Charlie, and their three children Amy, Natalie and Tim.
A very active member in a variety of local theaters throughout the area, Matt also took the helm as the resident artistic director for a small theatre in Indiana for a while. While there he wrote original scripts, directed and acted. He is well versed in both musical, straight plays and more recently film work. Some of his favorite roles in the past have been “Jack” in Vinegar Tom, “Jesus” in Jesus Christ Superstar, “Dr. Craven” in The Secret Garden, “Matt” in Talley’s Folly, “Freddy” in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and “Bill” in Sons of the Prophet. He has also directed numerous productions throughout the area including “Sweeney Todd”, “The Fantasticks” and “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” to name a few. Matt has recently delved into the world of film. He teamed up with the Sleepy Creek film group for his first short entitled, “In Vino Veritas.” He has done small film projects here and there since then and is a regular on the Sleepy Creek film group’s Sipcom “Up the Creek.” |
